IF YOU ARE RUNNING SEVERAL LAPS DOWN AT LEAST 40 MPH OFF PACE GET THE HELL OFF THE TRACK BEFORE YOU GET SOMEONE KILLED

While I get the point to say 40 mph is ridiculous. There is only about 12 mph difference in the average speed at Delmar. I doubt it's any different at Georgetown. In fact looking at 13's results the crates fast time was 84 mph and the fast lap in the feature for the SLM's was 92 mph. I saw what happened so I will say once again I see your point but don't exaggerate to much.

if gtown had a lap counting system you would see how dramatic the difference between the leaders and say the 41 car from 1985 or so. how many times did he get lapped in a 20 lap race at least 3 times if im right. that crap doesnt need to be out there

Lap cars can be a pain, Eric Vent in the crate late mcdel feature had been leading and on a restart lap cars were between him and the front cars. It cost him a win possibly when in turns 1 & 2 the laps cars were there at the start of the restart. Vent got hung out to dry on the outside and could not get by or held up I should say due to lap cars. Almost all tracks let lap cars stay in position even if a lap down, which most all of us don't agree with that.
The late feature it didn't matter who was there it was a lap car. You can't choose where to put a lap car, they are there. Where is the lap car to go inside or outside line? Is it set in stone as we here they are to go. Those guys or racers don't let off when racing and go for the gusto. Both the late cars came off turn 4 in full force going for 2nd position. When they came off the turn a lap car was just out of turn 4 and the two drivers did a split around the lap car. One outside and one inside and the lap car in the middle, no time to move any where for any of them really.
It was just a racing thing, one hit the tire of the lap car I believe and that was how he ended in the barrier on the front stretch. Was it wrong? Lap cars no matter who they are almost always a big risk or accident waiting to happen. Drivers go head on racing no matter what, we can't do that on the highway, but a slow car is a big pain as well. Try thinking it at that way?
I am sure the lap car did not move there or race around just to set up someone to wreck no matter what everyone thinks. It was just a racing thing, we all don't like to see that happen, but it was not planned or wrong just because it happened to be the driver it was. ANY lap car or slower driver is a risk. I'm just sure the guy is upset as well as to what happened. It could have been any driver is all I'm saying.

Well, Vent had already been passed ,and in my opinion he had about little to no chance of winning. With that said, LAP CARS SHOULD GO TO THE REAR these are not 500 lap races they aren't making it up! THAT SHOULD BE A RULE. Thats my opinion too.

Don't they start at the rear on restarts? If you get the lap flag from flagman you are to move to the inside lane and let the faster cars by. I would think after watching, that the flagman has some control. If he would let the slower cars know that they are going to be lapped soon and to move over you might stop some of the trouble. Or if they would talk to ya instead of hollering at ya on the radio. Maybe if you go two laps down it's time to call it quits for the night. You and or your car just don't have it going. Come back another night.

the flagman should done something about the lap car like the lap car messed wade up in the feature and cause him hitting that big tire in the infield causing him losing positions and cost him the win too

O.K. time to speak up for the also rans, I am one of them usually. first off if all the also rans parked thier cars you'd only have 5 or 6 car field, how long would the class last or even the track. 2nd if the leaders are so fast they should be able to get around, what if that lapped car was actually 2nd at the start, they'd have to pass him then right......whats the difference 3rd the also rans need track time to learn what thier car needs, so having leave the race after they off the lead lap, will make them always also rans. but in the end, I do believe the lapped cars should restart at the tail end. I always revert to the back on a restart if I am lapped. after all it is RACING!!!
