What is going on at Georgetown Speedway. Do they just make the rules up as they go. I have been involved and watching racing for many many years and never have I saw a track let someone be involved in a caution and get their spot back. Come on guys, what are you thinking? That is so blatant to the other drivers. If you are going to make him the track champ, just go ahead and do it and cancel the races for the rest of the year and save everyone a lot of money and hassle. That was ignorant to do to the other 23 drivers out there that had not been involved in the caution and you are only causing trouble for the driver you let do this because the other drivers will get tired of the favortism and start taking him out on purpose. Of course you did announce it was his birthday, maybe it was a one time free pass as a birthday gift.......you better get something going right at that track or a housing development may be the way to go.......

mama, you must not be talking about the same incident as I was. I am talking about a car that was stopped for 2 laps in a caution while the other cars circled the track waiting for the 4 cars to be towed or get going on their own. Thanks for the help though. I appreciate it.

What ever the incident, have seen really bad calls at several tracks that I have visited. Thats fine, it will happen, but I deffiently do not think a housing development is the way to go for any race track. We have enough of those on the shore now and don't need any more. We need race tracks to stay open, and a bad call here or there isn't goinog to keep me from going. If it made you that mad, email georgetown speedway and ask what the deal was, but a housing developent, HELL NO.

Well if you tell me who I'll try to explain that one. Another possibility would be a driver can pull in the infield and get fireman, track man, cameraman, whoever to pull fenders off check suspension , etc. ,then may pull back in to racing position. It happens quite a lot. mostly only local drivers know that part. anyway hope that helps or send me a personal message if you don't want to post name
