Every year everyone complains that the Fall Championships has little if any passing and the pole sitter wins unless something goes wrong. Any way to fix that?

Here's what I'd like to see tried. Run the qualifying races in the day time as they do now. Then re-work the track and get the features on the track when the sun is low in the afternoon sky. Maybe the track would hold the moisture and allow for multi groove, dustless racing. I really don't know if this is feasable, but maybe it would work. And, we'd get to watch the grader some more, we're used to it anyway.

Are other day shows like this, one lane only? Do we run too many classes? I thought the track looked in good shape Sunday but still even Deese had trouble passing a lapped car at the end. No wonder so few others were passing for position. Would sprinkling a little water between events without using the grader help ? I love seeing the big car counts and the top drivers from all over but a regular Saturday night race is by far better to watch.

The wind dried the track on Saturday, Sunday the sun was out.
ALL tracks pretty much that run a day race have these problems.
The night racing is by far better. I wish that many came for Camp Barnes since that is one event that draws a lot of racers.

I an wondering if the track could be like sat. nights but they choose not to make if that way to cater to the big modified names that come from up north. It seems that the tracks up there are very similar to our day show. Not saying theres a "conspiracy" LOL or anything. any thoughts?

I believe that they tried for a tacky daytime track some years ago. As I remember it, the track fell apart and some cars were damaged by the rough track conditions. The one that stands out in my mind is Bob McCready losing the right side rub rail coming out of turn 4 due to deep holes in the track. This is only my opinion as I am not privy to the intents of the track operators. If Racerchaser is around perhaps he can verify or discount my opinion.

There is no such thing as a tacky daytime track.
