how about Derrike Hill and Kerry King Jr. in their debuts at the DIS Champ Show. They both made the feature event with Hill finishing 5th in his heat race after some good clean bumping and racing with Al Cheney, and King Jr. finished 2nd in the Consi holding off Ryan Walls the defending Mod Lite National Champion. Hill finished 15th in the feature after getting together with Mike Wharton and going a lap down but had raced his way back up to 11th on the track. King Jr. finished 14th. Both looked smooth and calm to me.....what does everyone else think? Does anyone think that with a little bit more track time either can live up to their fathers reputations?
P.S. - Congrats to Stevie White on his Mod Lite National Championship this year

I think Derrike Hill and Kerry King Jr. Did wonderful at the champ show for their 1st times out there, especially in a race like that. I feel they are going to bring alot of excitement to Delmar in races to come.

I thought they did a great job too! I recently did a story on a lot of the new or young guys racing in crates and where they came from in racing. The story is on the web at www.redbud69racing.com/DE10-20-06Yearbook.htm and in the tracks championship program. If I had known about them I would have included them too. But, I figure some where in the so-called off season I'll get more scoops on these generation drivers and do another story about their some of their history, and expectations in the racing world. So anyone that is a generation driver contact me so I can get your story. Thanks
