Really can't believe that with the season opener just days away no one is speculating or even talking! How much will the Commonwealth 100 being held this weekend hurt our Late Model car count? Will the new weekly program with a new Promoter at Bridgeport hurt the Big Blocks on a weekly basis? Will Jester again dominate? How about Lingo, his consistancy has paid off several times in the past? If the 88 competes just 2/3 or 3/4 of the time in the Late Models he will win the points title (and a lot of races)!! How does everyone feel about only 3 URC events this season? I am excited about the excitement and the unknown that each neww season brings! Can't wait until Sat. night !!!

I am at VMS and there no regular DIS late models here. The only "local" based cars here are Elliott and Hubbard. For those interested, Elliott finished third in his heat and Hubbard finished fifth, out of a qualifying spot. 40 SLMs on hand. For more complete qualifying results, go to VMS site.

GO RAY RAY!!!!! . glad hes back. i think the big block will be low because of bridgeport under new management. i see a strong field of latemodels.hopefully we will see some racing this weekend if the weather holds out.my prayers go out to the cathell family in their time of need. Well I'm with you grandpa! I dispize sprint car night especially that i have to pay extra for them and i dont even watch them, and i agree that THEY should be the ones put to the back of the line to race last and what IS the deal with all the time they get to showboat before there race finally starts? Glad you brought it up, even if we are in the minority here.

If you're the minority, Im with you!! They get there late, park on the grass then try to push their way into line instead of waiting their turn. They bottle up the pits with their giant haulers, park their cars on the road, show no regard to anyone and just generally screw up the works. Then to top it off, the "support classes" dont get practice when they are there. I for one was glad when they cut them back to 3 shows this year! We've had one rain out, guess when Im hoping for the next one???
