I was so excited 2 be coming back 2 Middleford this year after seeing the changes and new rules. However NONE of the new rules have been applied! Instead of bashing drivers that you clearly don't like maybe you should think bout how all this has really come about and hold the owners and officials responsible 4 letting things get way out of hand. Instead of using the black flag and pissing off a driver and his crew, they are pissing off everyone else 4 allowing things like this continue. I had 9 extra people 2 come 2 the track friday. They were thinking bout buying the 5 charger car but with the way things went, they probably won't be coming again. I was really embarrassed by the way things happened, on and off the track. I will continue 2 be there but only cause my son isn't old enough 2 run anywhere else local. I even had an employee say 'they were so piissed bout the way things are being handled that they were ready 2 quit and walk out. AND 4 the record, 2 the person that made the comment, and I speak 4 over half the people I know in the pit area " I AM NOT a redneck, drunk, pothead or someone who thinks they can race but really can't! I am a mother who is trying 2 support there son on a dream. Thank you.

thanks for making an informative post instead of just bashing and name calling.
if people really want to change things, then you need to be mature about your point of view if you want the track or who to take you seriously.
middleford has potenial tobe one of the best racing nights on the shore, but it's going to take some work.

thanks for making an informative post instead of just bashing and name calling. if people really want to change things, then you need to be mature about your point of view if you want the track or who to take you seriously. middleford has potenial tobe one of the best racing nights on the shore, but it's going to take some work. take some work from who? if the owners dont want to change anything, what can we do? they showed us how much we mattered when they asked us to vote on what night we wanted and made it on sat night anyway. Ms weller is exactly right that they dont want to piss off the driver who should be taken out but they dont get that they are instead pissing everyone else off who has to put up with that driver. im afraid that nothing is gonna change unless they sell the track to someone who cares about this sport, and also as long as al and steve white have a hand in it then things wont change cause they are only for theirself. notice that steve doesnt race all the races only the ones that have the bigger money. and he wins them to.

I believe Al White has been the worse one so far managing this track. I have heard from so many people (drivers especially) that Al only cares for the Mod Lite class. I was down the pits after the fight with Tim & Bunky & Al acted like it was just another day in the hood. He did not question Tim about his conduct upon entering the pit area or ask if anyone was hurt. He clearly cares what happens to Steve though. I also notice everytime there is a money race, Steve always wins! WTF? I have heard rumor that Georgetown is on its last season for running, why don't the Chargers & Trucks that have to pay to get in & get tore up stay home & start putting their money in a jar to open up Georgetown next year. It is so obviuos that Al wants nothing to do with those 2 classes.

Well I was really going to stay out of this. However, I will take part in a constructive converstaion that may, somehow, help this track survive. To begin with this is Tricia Nash, my son Nick runs the 27 open mod lite. I also paritally sponsor Hank Steller, the No. 55, 270 micro, and JT Knight the X1 600 sprint. Hank Steller will not be back. JT and his family are extremly unhappy. They are the two families that brought us to Middleford. I'm only stating all this so people know that I truly care about all the classes at this track. My entire family volunteered time this spring to help re-do the track. We were all hoping that it would be a "new" Middleford, not just for the mod lites. Everyone needs to stop blaming one group or another. All the drivers need to come together and try to get the track to make the changes that we need. I'm not thrilled with how things are going either. Our family has been making every effort to hang in there and support the people that have supported us. There are good people involved in that track. That being said I do agree that calls need to be made on the track, at the time of the incident. For everyone that thinks the mod lites get special treatment where were you the night that my husband and I sponsored a $500 purse for the Open Mod Lites and 5 out of 17 cars finished. My son was on the track for less then one lap in qualifying before being run into an outside wall, and less then one lap in the feature before the same car again put him in the wall. No calls were made, was it just racing?? I don't know. I didn't complain, we brought the car home and fixed it. That weekend cost me $1000+ . Do you think I was happy? My point again is no one is currently happy at the track. Is there anyway we could all, no matter what type of car you drive, get together and try to make it better??? I've given up. If someone has an idea let me know. I do feel bad for the people that volunteer their time only to be crucified on these sites. I can also guarantee you I am not a Redneck, drunk, or pot head. I am just a mom that thinks my son is safer short track racing then on a 1/2 mile. I have decided that I need to look at racing somewhere else. I'm hoping in a few weeks we can come back and it will be fun again. Isn't it suppose to be FUN! Tommy Morris owns the track. He is ultimately responsible for it. That being said his wife did just die last week. Maybe now isn't the time for all this. It's just one of those situations that has been let go until it is ready to explode. Here are my recommendations For at least the rest of this year cops monitoring the pits. (Delmar has several every week, not just for fights, alcohol too) We need an EMT on site every race. Fair calls - no matter who- no matter when ORGANIZATION (This is not a jab at anyone, I think they need to HIRE a full time track manager, and I do not want the job) Publicity for the track Keep in mind if it closes where will the kids go? Where will the chargers and trucks go? The Open Mod Lites will go to Delmar. The Sprints will go to Airport or Bridgeport. Is that really what we all want?

Let me clarify something from my previous post I don't think about the owner of the track being Tommy, so I do apologize 4 that. I don't use names on my posts and I think of the ones that are there every week running the place. Sorry that I offended anyone, that was not my intention. I just get tired of people getting on here and bashing all the drivers, when if the people running it and the officials would do the right thing, it wouldn't be as bad as it is right now.

I totaly agree with 27nashracing. Your points are right on the money. Everyone of the racers in all classes need to pull together and make it work. The Charger class has the best group of racers at the entire track. Maybe it is because almost all of them are related or so it seems, B&E Tires is on every car except 89 & maybe another 1 or 2. But regardless, them guys & GIRL put on a good show & talk & laugh about their races & its pretty cool to see. I dont think any of them has had problems with other people putting them in the wall. I hope for their sake, the track continues to stay open. The trucks could be the same way if we could get #3 to stay home. Putting him in the wall or wrecking him isnt going to do any good, just make him madder. I know Greg and I'm going to say something to him about his drunk a$$ brother. Im sure he is an embarrasment to Greg. #3 is going to make the truck class end if he keeps up with his crazy a$$ driving. He probaly thinks hes cool but he is not.

Maybe B&E should start sponsoring the super trucks, maybe they will start getting along. Just suggesting it!

Miss Nash I just want to clear up that the critizisum on here is not directed at the volunteers, who are basically those of us who race or have a kid race, it is directed at the owners and managers who don't see anything wrong with taking our money each week but don't run things even remotely well. I think all the others working get paid for their time and therefore deserve our criticism.

I was just trying point out that if you want a chance to make your point to the track. you need to be some what proffesional about it. do you anyone is going to bother listening to someone that is calling them names and crusing at them. I've raced at several different tracks in the area over the last 25 years, none are anything like middleford. I hope the track can get better and survive and even thrive. I agree with what 27nashracing said, I just not good at putting my thoughts into words

There actually ARE rules for middleford, I just dont think the owners, manager, and track officials have been given a copy. here are a few that made me laugh out loud when I read them. 4. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 10 in the pit area at all times. 5. Absolutely NO ALCOHOL before or during all races. If track officials suspect you or your crew has been drinking, you can be disqualified. 9. A race may be stopped at any time if the flagman or a track official considers it dangerous or unsafe to continue racing. 15. Any car exiting the track surface during an event will not be permitted to re-enter the track for that event. 18. All cars must keep pit road speed at a minimum at all times. FIRST OFFENSE –WARNING: SECOND OFFENSE –DISQUALIFCATION. REMEMBER THERE MAY BE CHILDREN IN THE PITS. 19. Any car involved in or causing a red or yellow flag (making contact with another car) will be placed to the rear of the field. Flagman and race officials will determine cars involved. 20. If you wreck another car to gain position, you will go to the rear of the field. 21. If you stop on the track for any reason, you will go to the rear of the field. Unless for a safety issue ,or stopped by a race official 23. Mechanical, safety defects or rough driving could be cause for the flagman to throw the black flag. 24. The flagman will give you 2 laps to get in line. After the third time around, you will be sent to the rear of the field. 27. Some possible causes for disqualification A. Unnecessary rough or reckless driving B. Stopping on the track to discuss decision made by the flagman or race officials. C. Driver or crew performing repair work on the track D. Any car instructed to weigh and failing to do so immediately. E. Failing to go to the pits immediately when given the black flag. F. Speeding in the pits. G. Not going to the tech area immediately from the track. 36. Fighting: persons involved will be fined $100.00, disqualified, removed from the premises and or prosecuted. After the 2nd offense, the car/driver will be banned from the speedway. 37. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and may result in suspension. 39. Middleford speedway reserves the right to discontinue any class with an insufficient car count. 40. The use of profanity, vulgar language and disrespect toward track officials may be cause for suspension. 47. Blocking, chopping and running cars into the infield or wall will result in you being sent to the rear. 2nd offence for the night will result in disqualification The full list can be found at www.middleford-speedway.com/misc._files/2011%20General%20Rules.pdf

Also you should show both him and track officials... 5,19,20,37, and 40. Esp since they like to play favoeites with rule 19. It does say any car. Any meaning ANY car involved. Not just the one they want to pick on.
