I always defend Charlie on his track but not this time. When a support class cant run the feature with out the track drying out there is a problem.(the first feature) We quit going to Georgetown for that reason and now i will be saving $75 in gate fees cause we will not be going to delmar anymore if it stays a dust bowl.

I thought that it was less dusty last night than it has been since opening night. And it is DIRT track racing. I never have understood why people would go to a DIRT track race and complain about the dust or dirt.

People don't like follow the leader.when track is dry, there is 1 lane racing.if you spend your money to come to the track to watch, you like to watch some passing.thats just my oppinion.

dirt64 that is what im talking about a dry track is like watching paint dry. Charlie has spoiled us with a nice heavy track for years and now this year it has been dry mostly due to the weather. This past week though the weather had nothing to do with it, he didnt cut the track very deep is why it is so dry. imo for what that is worth

I think that the track dried out a lot earlier this week than it usually does. The Late model feature was not that bad. It looked to me like Austin could have done whatever he wanted as he caught Mullins several times then seemed to ease up. HJ started almost last in the BB and finished 3rd so he must have been able to pass. I am as critical as anyone and I like to see passing also but after 20 or 25 laps of racing the best car and driver is usually out front. Charlie always tries to make the track the best it can be every week but, it is dirt and nature plays a huge role in the condition of the track. Just my opinions.

People around here are spoiled with the dust or lack of usually , I've been to tracks all over the east coast and 9 out 10 times Delmar is the least dusty track of all. If ya aint got dirt in your beer your not at a real race ;if ya don't like dirt go to a pavement track quit whining.

tearemup, I need you address so i can send you a train set for christmas cause all a dried out dusty track does is make one big train follow the leader. That is not racing but to each his own.

i dont give a $hit how much water you put on the track.it is going to be dusty.we havent had a good rain in over a month. i told my wife before i left it was going to be dusty.and it was.but i expected it.so if we dont have a good rain this week and you dont like the dust stay home and quit complaining. im not the smartest nut on the tree, but im smart enough to know when it has not rained in a month, its going to be dusty. it dont take a rocket scientest to figure that one out.

Ok rob what about the 4 weeks before last. how about 3 weeks ago when the track was a dust bowl in hot laps. What is the reason for that. Either the clay is junk or he is not cutting it as deep. This is not the first year it has been hot out with no rain.
