Has anybody heard for sure if the trucks and chargers are going to get to run delmar this year? I personally don't see it happening, due to the fact Charlies schedule is already full and I don't think he plans to change anything. Also, I am assuming that we are running at Middleford this weekend??? Details from anybody is appreciated.

its really a shame that dmp is insisting on running sat nights and spliting up the modlites. we have so few dirt tracks in our area and sadly we have them both running the same night which is splitting up this group. instead of having twenty something cars run in seaford on friday night and twenty something cars run in delmar on sat we have half and half on the same night. i dont know why they want to do this. so now on the nights that delmar runs the chargers I guess these guys will have to choose which track to run. i dont know who is behind this because everyone i have talked to wanted friday nights for seaford. someone is trying to ruin the modlite class but i hope these guys dont let that happen. with this said, i am looking forward to seeing the chargers run in delmar this month. i really liked watching that group but like some others said, i am not leaving delmar on sat nights to go to seaford to watch them. best of luck you guys.

I don't think anyone is trying to deliberately ruin a class. Most people have jobs and find it hard to get to the race track on friday nights. It is convenient for those who do work until 5 or 6 during the week. From the looks of the crowd on Saturday night I don't think there is a problem. There was a good turnout of both fans and cars. I think the track is the perfect size for the smaller classes and is going to be fast and racy. Also it is not as hard on the equipment as the bigger tracks are. This is good for the guys who are on a budget and don't have the money to buy all of the good stuff, and good for the people who aren't fortunate enough to have "daddy" flipping the bill. Most of us who race do it for fun anyway and are not worried about the car count as long as we have a place to run that is close to the house. When word gets out about how good the new track is at Middleford, then the car count will take care of itself.

i dont think the issue was that people have jobs and find it hard to race on friday nights because that was never a problem every other year they were open on friday nights. if the crowd was so good, imagine how much better it would be if they ran on fridays when alot of delmar people would come watch AND race. as far as "good for the people who aren't fortunate enough to have "daddy" flipping the bill" your right, I did hear that steve white is racing again!
