It was so good to see that neither Brightbill or Jester played not to lose. It appeared as though both drivers let it all out to try to win this season's championship. Congratulations to Kenny Brightbill on the 2010 Big Block Championship. Congratulations to Matt Jester on making it interesting and doing everything he could to win. Congratulations to Howard O'Neal on tonights victory. A fitting ending to a very competitive season at Delaware International Speedway.

I wondered that myself. But, we've been wondering about how they start them at Delmar for the last 40 years. It does not really matter anyway because Jester got by Brightbill early on and then Brightbill did pass Jester later in the race.

If you check out the tracks results page matt did not start the feature on r c holloway night. The only points he got for that night was 5 pts for track run in.So basically he ran one race less than kenney did, if he was able to just start and park prob would have been worth at least 40-50 points thats all it took.

Kenny basically dominated the points all year. Had some terrible luck late in the season, and Matt got hot. It was an exciting night. Go ask Charlie why they started how they did. All I know is that it was fun watching Brightbill run here all year.

Its a good thing he had that bad luck or u would have seen a battle for second because first would have been out off the area code..brightbill was the points leader all year.I would count that as domination.he's just so good that he was able to take the points with 6 wins.he deserved the point title fair n square.u wouldn't have seen that kind of clean racing between mills n hj

Your hilarious rocky62. Brightbill had a 261 point lead at 1 point. If not for bad luck he had a few more races won. The all out 100 he had passed Jester for the lead but the caution came out. Fastest car that night. He was about to pass hj 1 other night and slowed up to not hit hj (not going to mention names but some of the guys out there would've just plowed hj) and the rear broke. There is 2 more wins right there. I would say leading the points since week 4, only having 1 rain out, and an average finish of 5th is a good season. Its been hilarious sitting up in the stands hearing certain people complain about Kenny. You can tell by there comments they don't go anywhere but DIS. 1 person 1 night said something and a guy with me said he dominated the greatest modified track of all time the Reading Fairgrounds. The other person said where? The guy with me said yeah i figured you didn't know much.

No disrespect intended but if Matt had borrowed a backup car the night he broke in the track run in he would have won the championship! You have to remember he missed that race and only got 5 points!

Brightbill started in front of Jester because Matt had the better point average, he ran one less race. The reason they were in the same heat race is because Brad Trice had the 2nd best point average. odds in 1st heat , evens in 2nd heat.

Hey shafferoilguy, nice meeting you the other night. I have to disagree with you though. Even if Matt had borrowed a car it doesn't mean he would've won the track championship. He may have had to run a crate car and not finished in top 10. Or that car might have broke. We don't know. If Brightbill would've gotten the 2 wins he could've had and didn't have to run a crate car he may have had a bigger point lead. We don't know because its all assumptions. Bottom line is Kenny is 1 of the all time greats, Matt is a very good racer who I believe could run anywhere with anybody, especially if he had an owner take him on the DIRT tour. I believe you give him time to travel he could learn to run up front wherever. To Rocky62, I never said anybody was running for 2nd, if they were they shouldn't be out there. Kenny and Matt ran clean all year, had a great battle. And respected each other on and off the track. It was a great night the other night.

If brightbill would have borrowed a big block n not a crate car the night the throttle stuck he would have had a wider lead but I've never seen a crate hit the limiter comeing out of the corner till Kenny got in the 82.way to Keith and Denise Kenny and crew.lets do it again next year

GREENWHITECHECKER-KB WON 5 RACES -JESTER HAD 6 RACES AND THE KING OF KING RACE-1J HAD 3 WINS-30 HAD 4 WINS-85 HAD 4 WINS H20 HAD 1 WIN AND 09 HAD ONE WIN. SO THAT MEANS THAT EVEN WITH JESTER HAVING BAD LUCK THE FIRST PART OF THE YEAR HE STILL WON THE MOST RACES FOR THE 2010 SEASON. AND DID A TERRIFIC JOB RUNNING ON THE TIGHT BUDGET THAT HE HAS. GREAT JOB JOKER YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE ASHAME OF AND JUST REMEMBER THAT YOUR NOT A PAID DRIVER YOUR JUST A SATURDAY NITE BOY WAY TO GOOOOOO "62"

No Matt had a great season.not taking anything from him. But fact is its not just winning races, it keeping the points average higher than everyone else. Kenny's not a paid driver. Don't know where that came from.
