Say this or say that... I dont really care whos is behind the wheel... im just glad us die hard ford people "few and far between" have a car to pull for..... watching and listening to that lingo/ford engine with the big blue oval out front was worth my price of admission.... and then even better a few seconds later AFTER the ford came by us in turn 1 here come all the high dollar propowers, jayd*ckens, clements a putting puttt putt put.... so all you chevy guys.. make a trip over to lingos shop and get old man lingo to build you one of those home grown engines with the DISTRIBUTOR in the FRONT... then you can put blue ovals on the front of your cars too... but not everyone "now now" need to leave a few chevys in the field for all you FORD haters.... and remember if your going to stroke it.... POWER STROKE IT !!!

Don't forget a few years back when Lannigan was winning all those races and the WoO Championships He was on Cornett Ford Motors back when Eckert was with Rocket he was on Cornett Fords and this year Billy Moyer is back on ford motors or should I say his car has Fusion Headlights on it.

The manufacturers battles used to be a lot more intense and fun. Every Sat. nite before the races Charlie would ask; "how many chevy fans do we have here tonight." and the Chevy fans would cheer. "How many Ford fans are here tonite." and the ford fans would cheer. "How about the Chrysler (sometimes he would say mopar) fans." And they would stand up and cheer....Also it was easy to see what kind of car someone was driving because the bodies were not mutilated beyond recognition.

HE prolly doesnt want to bet you because hes afraid lingo might win 8 or 9 races instead of 7 which will mean you win the bet. I think he could get 8 wins as long as he keeps that ford mustang nose on this year....

Im tired of hearing if richard gets a ride or if richard gets this he will do that... I dont want to speak for anyone but there is alot of guys that were there last saturday RACING because they want to more than breathing sometime..... example ROBINSON, LINGO, DAVIS, DAVID PETTYJOHN AND MANY MORE... THEY DO this thing called racing 90% on hard earned money they have worked for their self! they cut corners here and there, they might not go out for a steak dinner 3 times a week they might settle for a hot dog..might not need a new car or a front yard of sodded grasss.. they work work save here and save there so they can go racing... and not sit around waiting for a ride to open up... if richard or anyone else wants to go racing that bad then he will find a way... maybe right now thats not his priorities or maybe it is ... more cudos to the people that can drive for a car owner like charles jarvis... this is not a bash or pat on the back post im just trying to say 85% of the people on the track are sacraficing alot to be there and doing it mostly out of their own pockets.. i think all these guys deserve the credit... with out them die hard do w/e it takes people.... fans like me would go to the races tomorrow night to see a empty track!

power stroke what is your problem .I was trying to handicapp the year, and give my oppinion if i thought lingo would win 8 races .You are making more of this than you should. My only point is, if there is another driver capable of winning races in the field ,it is only logical that the number of wins another driver has will go down.It is hard for any driver to win 8 races in a year.calm down, you act like you have a chip on your shoulder, I know as well as anyone there is alot of sacrafices made by everyone, and lets not forget that richards family has spent and sacraficed as much as anyone over the last 25 yearsa delmar.here i am just trying to give my oppinion on the number of races lingo will win and get slammed.

powerstroke if you sit in bleachers get used to it. People will always run there mouth.I tend 2 agree with Duster46, it depends on whether elliott , hubbard or jarvis or any good talent stop by and race at delmar. Sure he is going to win some races but 8 is a awful lot. You have byrum in the 45 he is going to win a few,Davis, Ross will 1 or 2 each, pettijohns are good for a number of wins, add that 2 any non local drivers who stop by - 8 wins wont happen especially when they start handicapping his start position each week.

WERE COOL!!! I STILL THINK LINGO IS GOING TO BE THE BIG WINNER THIS YEAR,BUT ALSO THINK DAVID PETTYJOHN WILL HAVE MULTIPLE WINS,AS WELL AS ROSS ROBINSON.MY THINKING IS LINGO WINS POINTS WITH ROSS SECOND,DAVID PETTYJOHN THIRD,RICK WHALEY FOURTH,AND RAY DAVIS FIFTH.

My pick for points this year is Ross Robinson. As far as I am concerned he was the points winnner last year.
I agree with one thing Powerstroke is saying and that is it gets old hearing is Richard racin ? Richard got a ride? It will be a much more competitive race for points if Jarvis is racing somewhere else. Everytime he races points at Delmar he wins by a cool 300 or 400 points. He and Ricky are in their own class. They dont need to be racing locally. You dont see Ricky racing Delmar every week.
In my opinion I like seeing several winners throughout the season. I get tired of seeing Jarvis start 10th and either win or finish 2nd every week. Gets old. Look at points from last year excluding Richard, it would have been a close race like the year before (Davis and Callaway) if Richard wasnt there. It's time to give some other guys a chance, and instead of everybody talking about wheres Richard, they need to cheer on those guys that are pretty equal in the field and will put on good shows.
But powerstroke you obvously dont know Jarvis very well to say racing aint his priority and he doesnt work for his money like everybody else thats racing. Its only been recent years he hasnt footed the bill for his own racin. Why rag on somebody who has a car owner ask them to drive for them unless you are jealous.
I'd bet anything his family has spent more of their hard earned money than all the above drivers you named put together times 10! What you said aint right.
I know several of the local drivers including Jarvis, and again its clear you dont know him. Sayin what you are saying is not what this site was meant for. He doesnt waste money on sod and new cars. He Works 12 hr days and just finished building his house with his own hands. Steak dinner three days a week? I also know he and his wife are having a child, and his wife was in and out of the hospital all winter. I hope he gets something put together even if he foots the bill himself again, but hope he stays away from running Delmar every week, not fair I liked to see a different winner.

Why dont we jump on David hill and Kenny Pettyjohn for winning all there championships and stinking up the races. Tell them they should have traveled. That would be bs just like you saying jarvis should not race local. His funds last year would only allow local racing. I was told if he hurt the car last year they could not get the car fixed, that is what kind of budget they were on. I read on here that they were in one of the oldest cars out there last year. I think lingo will have his hand full with Mark in the 45 this year. Ross and Ray will be around the top also. I hope Jarvis get a ride this year he deserves it local or on the road. Lets just hope for some good safe racing with no "RAIN" this year.

Racing people are going to talk... speculate... that's what fans do. I've been at tracks away from the area and they are talking about Jarvis. Face it, the guy has made a name for himself. He is sucessful at eveything he does, plus he's a likeable guy. He is always going to have a lot of fans and people are always going to talk about him and wonder what his racing plans are. Jealous people are going to say negative stuff. I can tell you that those folks that talk about what he and his family have put into racing over the years, they know what they are talking about. You wont find any better, harder working people. I wish he and his family the best, wherever he decides to race. Personally, I will miss him at Delmar coming from the back to win. There is a good field at Delmar, alot of good drivers, should be a good year. But, when Jarvis, Jr. or Hubbard show up to race .. don't be surprised ..you are going to hear people excited and talking about it. They talk about Brightbill, and other drivers. When your driver has accomplished what these guys have accomplished, and have earned the fans and respect these guys have, they will talk about him (or her) too.

If I am not mistaken the reason Lingo started were he did was that is where he qualified. David earned his 2 nd starting spot by winning his heat. if lingo is up front in points he better get used to starting back at 10th. To win 8 races he is going to have to come thru the field no matter what track conditions are.
