The 4 team thinks that every car with aftermarket leaf springs is illegal, along with a few other things. The reason being that the original front spring mounts must be moved either forward or backwards, depending on which spring you are using.
Now, the written rule says that you cannot move any suspension points. The problem with that is, the old directors allowed this modification at their discretion, without changing the written rule. Every car that was checked, with the exception of 2 have these modifications, the OLD director(s) okayed.
What the 4 team did, was a blatent cheat, a clearly written rule and no one okayed it, they took it upon themselves to change that wheel and knew if they were caught, it would be deemed cheating. Look at it this way, you just happened to be the unlucky ones, surely your not the only one to run a 10" wheel, you just got caught.

Heard there were 2 drivers that were illegal on 9/19 by the rules. Heard it was a safety rule, no gloves! Lincolnfan, is that a written rule about gloves? I believe the #14 car had no window net and broke his arm on 8/29. Where were the directors on that inspection? If a rule is a rule were those drives docked points? Wondering, do you know directors, you seem to have a lot of info?

Lincolnfan, the only one kicking and screaming is you. Britt took the punishment and took it like a champ. Problem is, the #4 is probably the most LEGAL car out there. The #4 is one of the cars who have the LEGAL suspension points. If the old directors allowed it, then why aren't the new directors enforcing a written rule? The problem is not the drivers and crews looking for the advantage, it is the inspectors who do not have a clue and play favorites. Do you see NASCAR checking Jimmie Johnsons car twice as long as anyone elses because he wins all the time? No. Has the #48 been caught with un-approved alterations? Yes. Has he lost respect due to it? No. GET OVER IT. PUNISHMENT WAS GIVEN AND ACCEPTED. The only one left to move on is YOU. So SHUT THE **** UP!
If guys like the #4 leave the class it would destroy it. Truth be told there are only 5 cars capable of winning- the 3, 4, 64, 49, and on a good night maybe the 14a or 0. Ask any one of those guys who they want to be. I guarantee every one will say the #4. It is not out of jealousy, it is out of competition. And is the #4 supposed to lay down and let others win? That isn't racing.
Oh yeah, Lincolnfan again- you obviously will hate on anyone you see fit. If you only knew Britt the person. Ask anyone who has raced or is racing that class. There is not one guy who hasn't borrowed a part, got set-up advice, or had any problems on track with him. As a former racer myself it kills me for someone like you to bash a guy you don't even know. With fans like you it is no wonder why dirt track racing is fading across the country. These racers don't do it for money. They do it to put on a show for people like you who pay their hard earned $20 to come to the track every week. Ever think about it that way?

If you got caught for a wheel being 2 inches too big with everything else that slides by in the class you'd be checking the other cars too. I don't think the point is to expose all the other illegal components but to show how lax the "inspectors" are. What is the point of racing if you're not winning? Rules are rules. If they are good for one they are good for another. Should the points be given back? No. The car was not legal on the night in question. That does not mean every other race he won was with an illegal wheel. It also sounds as if you need to check your sources on the whining and crying. Better yet, move on. You're the only one stuck on this.
