What an exciting evening for Mod-Lite racing first time JR class race for Stacy Roberts saw her get the pole.( by virtue of Derek Magee's mechanical trouble). At the drop of the green flag we saw wheel to wheel action for over 5 laps for the lead between Roberts and Adam Webber what a race Roberts stayed low in the preferred line while Webber was acting like( Kenny Brightbill back at Redding fair grounds) and making his own grove on the high side after several laps of wheel to wheel action we could see the high side comming in and inch by inch Webber was pulling ahead. After several bounces thru the ruts in turn 2 for Roberts we saw her loosing ground to Webber . Adam finally made his grove work and took the lead and never looked back claiming his 2 career Jr Mod-Lite win . If anybody says theres only one grove and you can't pass WELL ! I guess they need to watch and learn from Adam( high side) Webber!! great show Roberts Vs Webber

Guest20 Surely Adam can win any given week. Nobody will say he only won because Derek broke. That would be foolish to say. Besides you have to finish to win you can't brake crash spin or get black flagged you have to be on the track and on the lead lap. Now that have being said. Adam had a race won earlier in the season until Derek over drove the car trying to catch Adam and Derek spun. I'm sure you saw that race? On the restart Derek got a better start than Adam it just happens. Also I look at all the Mod-Lite times because I have one. I like to see were ALL Mod-Lite classes are running on the time sheets. Several times this year Adam has had faster lap times than Derek in Qualifying and the feature. One thing for sure its defiantly possible to run wheel to wheel for several laps and trade positions for the lead with out hitting anybody . All the modified drivers could learn a lesson from these two. The race for the lead between Stacy and Adam(high side)Webber was one of the best of the night(as well as the rookie race with Zac and Nick) thumbs up two BOTH drivers. They were giving the Jr class a " HEY stay and watch us we will make it interesting " GREAT JOB ! If Adam can keep the high side working he will be almost IMPOSIBLE to beat EVERY week good luck to all !

I was told this weekend that if the class does not have six or greater cars in it next year that it is going to be eliminated. this concerns me for the rookies. They need a rookie class for these guys to get comfortable with their abilities and improve on thier skills. Some parents may shy away from putting their child in the Jr. Mods if the child has never driven before. The rookies this year do not look like rookies now. Great talent. On the other hand running 2 or 3 cars in a class for anything other than rookies I believe is not giving the fans, patrons nor the drivers what they are looking for. I am a driver and for me to look at a race and say someone has true talent I want to see them start in the back of the pack, work their way thru the field(clean) and finish in the top three. All this needs to be done in a class of no less than 6 preferably eight. I am not taking anything away from those drivers that have won in classes of 2 or 3 but "Talent" you are going to have to prove it to me.

There is no way they will eliminate the rookie class I have been told this several times this year . Mainly its there to help Walt and Al to sell cars. now possible the jr class but all these rookies should move up and that would give them. Adam,Brandon,Stacy,Zac,Nick,Chase,Josh, and possible Derek. Trust me their not gonna eliminate anything they need what they have they can't eliminate the Pros either because that only leaves the TUSA and people don't have money for that . If they eliminate anything they will lose but it dose not bother them the track only caters to the micros now anyway.

Loveracin - No driver can help how many cars show up on a weekly basis you say don't eliminate a class under 6 but if they win it doesn't matter because their should be 6 to 8 cars a win is a win. Car count down is because The economy, Walt( because he's nuts) then Page( because he's all about micros)all of that lost drivers. If they will eliminate then all mod-lite divisions will be gone. Reasons being the JRS only had 2 now 3 the Pros only have 3 to 4 on weekly basis and the TUSA is around 6. . Meanwhile Delmar is faithfully brining 19 every week as much as 21 more than every class this year at Delmar makes you think ! Any way I want my post to be 100 percent positive. I like to write good about these amazing kids that race very competitive NOBODY at the track does .theres 16 year olds up too older adults who can't drive a street car and these kids are 9 - 14 and winning !
