Thanks for posting the new times. I was wondering if anyone has heard about points for the new management. I believe the points for DMP are over & please correct me if I'm wrong. But did the points for Middleford Speedway start July 3rd. And if so, did they start with a clean slate?

My understanding in regards to the points is as follows.... There has not been a decision made on if the points were going to end or continue. Last week at the drivers meeting it was told that Page was going to do a ballot that was going to be handed out this week for the drivers to vote. Then a decision will be made.

the points should start over if for no other reason due to the favortism that was so obvious with dmp. just go back on some of these posts and you will see all the complaints about how some drivers actions were overlooked and others being punished for the same things. there is one post where a flagman even defends there calls by saying that they cant blackflag every time a driver deserves it or they would loose drivers every week. what kind of reasoning is that, he basically admits that they were not being fair.if they were not going to give the same punishment to all offenders, then why give it to any? and how did they deside who got the punishmennt and who didn't get it? one young driver in particular got away with alot, he was allowed to get in the face of an official on the infield one week in front of everyone, leave his car and exit the track during a race another week and once walked over to the tower and throw up his arms at them. everyone was asking how could they justify this kind of actions week after week and not give punishment? does this kid deserve to keep his points when he should have lost them due to his behavior? everyone wants to race on a level playing field and dmp just didn't have that at the end. middleford can make a clean break and start fresh. they may even start getting some of those drivers back who left. it can be a great track for our local drivers but just like it said in so many posts, there has to be consistancy.

I believe there is favoritism at all tracks. It mostly comes from the fans. If there is a certain driver the fans like, it becomes obvious to the officials & therefore they get a lot of attention. I do not care for it myself but it is like that in any sport. My advice would be "do the best you can & race clean". Just last week there was a big stink at the pit shack with the Napa Chargers. I happened to walk by while the parents were bickering back & forth & then a lady video recorded the race & the facts were on the film. So everyone needs to keep their tempers down until the facts are in. Racing is a great sport & everyone should be thankful the track is still in operation. I look forward to Friday nights at the track.
