this coming week will be Walt's last week operating the track. Only assuming the new track management will probably bring in some new faces over the next up coming weeks, to get the track and officials set up the way they want it.

I don't know what changes will be made, but I think the present staff is a good group of people and hopefully some of them will stick around. I also hope the food concession people that Walt and Buc brought in this year stick around. The food is really good and the trailer is super clean.

My understanding is that you will be seeing many familiar faces staying on. This is a good thing. They have all done a great job.

DMP is not going to have go-carts no more. They already messed the go-cart track up, so the real racing can have a bigger track to race on.So you can forget racing go-carts at DMP again.

So....Let's just get an answer to the' question....Will there be kart racing at Middleford Speedway??? New management please consider this...kart numbers would have grown if the track was properly prepared for racing. Even the friday night show was suffering because of the track conditions. This is a great track for kart racing! Would you consider special event kart racing at Middleford, if not a regular program? I think for all racers on the oval at Middleford, the banquet boondogle can be forgiven and redeemed by setting a new example, but the track conditions are a weekly issue that every racer must deal with, and many, eventually are turned off by it. Please consider kart racing at Middleford. All those in favor please post on here to let them know we want another track to race on!

Yes track conditions was always a factor.. after running cars on friday and tryinga kart that is inches off the groundon the same track? yes the down fall of the karting a DMP was the banquet so new management is probably a good thing?? but i am for keeping kart racing a middleford... because u take away karts what is next ?

i tell you one thing. backing ace here, the special events there were out of the question great racing as far as action and the money put up was spectacular for delaware. i hope that the new management considers atleast having a special event race every month or even year there to keep the karting in there neighborhood because karting will always be around them.

I would like to see Karts back in full swing with weekly races. If that is not possible this season, have some special events and resume weekly races next season. Karts are great fun for all ages.

i agree with ace this could be a nice facility if the track surface is compatable with karts in the past we karters were just supposed to accept the track conditions for what they were..and most just stopped coming. "if you build it,they will come"may very well apply in this circumstance as far as having a good surface to race on. kd04

Why is there no consistency to calls made on the track during races? Sometimes drivers that seemed to be involved in a caution get there spots back and other times they wont get there spots back. Maybe the calls are based on who they drivers are and who they are not. I am so glad to see they are starting to do some teching on the cars and motors. The only problem is the just shing a flashlight down to see if the seal is still on the motor is pointless! There are ways around the seal and getting things done in the motor! If you know the right people in the business you can have anything you want and get away with it! Just food for thought.
