Why if we have time for 1 hour plus grading and a hot dog eating competition don't we have a victory lane after each race. I remember how kids used to love going out for pics and to meet drivers. They are the future of the sport and gonna be paying the bills or racing for years to come. It also is great for the crews, drivers who work so hard and just is so fun when you win and are pumped up. Walker ( if he won) should have enjoyed and celebrated his first win with crew and family and been able to acknowledge his sponsors. It is taking so much from the fans, kids, crews, drivers and sponsers. It just seems ridiculous that time is an issue. Cathell please rethink this and also the driving two class rule. We need more cars, so if Jarvis gets a BB ride and Mills gets a late model ride doesn't it make sense to let them run 2 classes. It means more cars, more fan interest and a bigger crowd.

I agree with the victory lane interviews , just keep them short. Every other track we go to does it that way. With the driving differant classes too even Nascar guys can drive all 3 classes they run on a weekend. But I do like doing something in front of the fans for the redraws, but do it while the track is being groomed , that way the kids have something to watch instead of the grader.

You all can talk all you what Charlie can do to improve thing for the fans, racers and kids, but he will do what he wants to do. The only thing he cares about is the FRONT GATE.

I am sure he must care what the fans/drivers think. It is gonna help his front gate. Offer a 2000 dollar bonus for anyone who can win BB and LM on same night. Keep adding to the 2000 til someone takes it. Mills, HJ, Jester in LM and Jarvis, Lingo, Elliott in BB would only help the crowd. I know I would be there more often. We can never have enough cars and competition.

I feel compelled to put my two cents worth in. I am an avid dirt racing fan and have been to a lot of tracks in several states. I personally feel that Delaware is the nicest of the bunch by far. Minimal dust, great racing ,avid fans and an owner that attempts to make everyone happy. Where else can you go park behind the main grandstands, sit in your car whenever you feel like it without getting a "pass out ticket", see at least 5 classes of racing every weekend, and pay less than $20.00 to boot. I also enjoy the concessions here too, better than most. From what I've heard and read, most dirt track facilities barely break even on any given night, so is it really going to make anyone rich owning and promoting a dirt track? Probably not. We, as avid fans, should all be happy we have a place to go watch what we enjoy because we will never know how good we have it until its gone.

This was done way back, and if I remember it was done for 12/8 shift at DuPont's, that is so they could see all of the features before going to work. Well DIS is still here and DuPont's are gone,,,,,,,,,,
