Are the guys in my section the only ones who are getting fed up with the caution flag taking too long to come out?
I have consistently seen situations when a car will end up in trouble in the pack and the flag will not fly until the leaders are almost to him! This seems to happen about one time per evening!
There was a car last evening that got turned around and stalled in the middle of Turn Two while the leaders were headed down the backstretch. I saw the flagman look at it and do absolutely nothing until the leaders were coming hard into Turn One!
I realize that some racers will stop just to cause a caution and that some will get their car started quickly, but why does the track staff take these chances! Somebody could get hurt! For as good a track as DIS is, the caution policy needs work. I do not see this at the other tracks!
