defan I concerned about parents getting involved with other minors. We have lost track of what we are all here for! Parents from other teams should never approach another child or minor!!!

Talk to people around the track and see what they're saying about the deadline. true he does need to let everyone know if he isn't going to run the track so we can celebrate. As for the 9 car I must be thinking about a different incident apologizes to the 9 car

OMG! that was funny. 75 definately got back some of what he was giving but not enough. by the way, the beginning of this posts talks about the 22 acting like a 2yr old, on Sunday, why did he leave his car and leave the track in the middle of a race after he wrecked? is that allowed? what am I saying

Post by animal13579 on Jun 9, 2009 17:26:20 GMT -5
depends on what week? the 22 normally acts like a toddler most weeks when he doesn't win, and yes he was suppose to stay in his car after he wrecked

SO I GUESS TOMMY IS TAKING THE TRACK BACK.WONDER WHO WILL BE RUNNING THE TRACK THEN, HOPE THAT THE TRACK PREP WILL GET BACK TO THE GOOD OLD 2 GROOVE TRACK LIKE IT USE TO BE. MAKES RACING ALOT BETTER TO WATCH INSTEAD OF FOLLOW THE LEADER OR TAKE SOMEONE OUT TO GET TO THE FRONT. BUT THAT WOULD MEAN GO CART TRACK GONE AND SOME MUCH NEEDED & OVERDUE CLAY, INSTEAD OF SAND.MAYBE THAT WOULD BRING BACK ALOT OF THE RACERS THAT HAS LEFT, BECAUSE OF THE BULL CRAP OF THE LAST 21/2 YEARS.& THE GROUPY THING GOING ON.

I have read each post here and to say there is disappointment is my heart is an understatement. There are, of course, real concerns here. I feel though that we are in a no win situation. When we make a call on the track, we are chastised to the fullest. If we don’t make a call, the same thing happens. I do agree that we MUST become more consistent with our calls, we are taking steps to fix this, John the flagman and his assistant will be the final on calls. We work this track on a full time basis. It has always been our intent that we try to provide the best for the racers that we can. It must be understood that it is a business, and we will run it like one. You don’t go into any business and expect to walk out without paying. Why would this track be any different? There are several of you out there feeling the pinch of the economy, and we are too, it is no different for us. Lining our pockets? That is a statement from someone that knows nothing about business or how to become successful. I’m sure you’ve all noticed the new truck I drive or the mansion I live in down the street from the track. We have always had the same policy about purses; it has never wavered from the time we took the track over. This has never been a secret. The 600 Micro Sprints have been paid $250 to win up until last week. We paid the purse we said, and still the car count dropped. So, is it the money? The other things I see on here are parents that are acting like children. Think about each thing that you have done to another kid in the pits, and then take a minute to think about how you would feel if someone did that to your child. Would you accept an adult cussing at your child? Would you accept an adult chasing your child trying to make him cry? Some parents want the rules enforced, but when they are they cry to Walt that it isn’t fair, that the racer should have special treatment because of their age or experience. This is very simple folks, listen to yourselves, or read it. Some of the racers have left the track, but I have had them tell me they can’t take the fighting and strife in the pits. This is supposed to be fun, for not only the kids, but the adults as well. Some have instructed the drivers to take another out, get back at what was done the week before, or if the car is too slow in front of you, just move them. Is this the most ridiculous things to say to someone trying to learn to race? They are under speed, going into the corners as fast as they can or want to, then someone slams the back to let them know they’re faster. The person in front has the spot, it is theirs until you pass them and pass them clean. These antics of slamming the back of a car are unacceptable to the officials and should be to the parent as well. Each time a car is damaged, it costs someone, either in the pocket or in health. This is a small track, and there is going to be contact. When you have that many cars trying to get to the front, it is going to happen. Put egos and pressure that the parents and car owners put on the drivers, it becomes a thing that sometimes appears like purposeful. Come race folks, have fun, teach your children how to have fun. Get over your little petty differences and bring a smile to the track. Show people that this sport is a sport that can be enjoyed on both sides of the fence.

HEY BUCK: I THINK WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING IS THAT THERE IS NO CALLS ON THINGS THAT SHOULD BE. WHAT HAS HAPPEN ABOUT THE 22 ON FIRST POST. THEN IS THERE ANYTHING THAT HAS HAPPEN FROM SUNDAY 75 96 OF ROUGH DRIVING BECAUSE IN THE RULES THERE IS RULES ABOUT THAT, AND PEOPLE ARE SEEING NO RULES BEING APPLIED. THESE THINGS WERE OVERLOOK THIS IS THE MAIN CONCERN I THINK. WHAT ABOUT THE ONE POST OF WALT MIGHT BE LOSING THE LEASE

I think that the only reason the micro count was down was because it was on a sunday. it isn't usually that low.

Buck, what we see as the problem is, the track has become a 1 groove race track, therefore making it nearly impossible to make a clean pass. It seems that the only way to make a pass is to move the person in front. Two years ago we didn't have this problem. With an invert, the cars were able to make a clean pass. Is it the clay, or is it just because you refuse to cut the track?? Maybe you may consider re-hiring the man back that did it before. You also need to put a stop to parents approaching the kids. THAT SHOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN!!! Send that team home for a week or two. When people realize that certain behaviors will not be tolerated, maybe those will think twice about their actions. It is a shame that the track is losing a car count. It can be a good venue again if the rules can and will be enforced. It used to be a good place to race.

The 9 car deserves an apology from me and i will do so. I heard he is a good guy and dont want to discourage him from the class or racing at dmp. my fustration came from me feeling like he was not trying to advance his position only to throw the blades on to keep any one from passing on a one groove race track. If i was blocking i would expect to get my rear bumper beat up. And i just have to ask y buck is the only person on here not ashamed to post his name at the end of his statement? We all think we could run the track better but truth is 90% of us wouldnt have the first clue as to how to run it successfully. We all dont agree with all the calls. I think we all agree that the track has become one groove racing but they have to keep more people happy than you the individual. Post your names. Stop being cowards. And support the local track so we can all have a place to race. Kevin McKinney v75

Well spoken Kevin, we all have our disagreements with the track, calls made by buck, walt, other drivers and so on. I ask besides Kevin, who else says im sorry and takes it on there shoulders, the responsibility of a mistake that made another person mad. If that appology is given than the argument is over, this story stops, and just falls in line with the rest of the arguments that have become lost in the archives of this website. I think what im trying to say is that the story and arguing is getting old. The track has lost alot from this 4 page rant. I think they have paid enough. Please let it drop and lets go racing!

I don't think the track lost anything from a message board other than people wondering about the June 15th date I think there have been alot of people taking up for the track on here. The whole thing started with how the 22 was allowed to act in front of a whole lot of younger kids watching. I think people are just posting there frustrations on this board and im not sure there is anything wrong with that. we could do with less personal attacks and accusations from nameless folks but for the most part I don't see where this stuff is going to hurt the track. people see it for what it is. and I agree with 57chevy, the count on Sunday was only becasue it was Sunday and not Friday nite.

I dont think the car count is down that much. what few are missing probly have more to do with the economy than anything. everybody is struggling and sponsors aren't giving like they used to. hang in there though, it will come back.

Hey watchin u 75....Here is a lil message for you....Have you ever sat back and watched Kevin race?? Apparently not.. He has a lot of respect from other drivers as well fans and the younger generation. He is a clean driver, bumping is all part of racing, have you EVER seen a race where there wasn't...I think NOT...Don't trash him when you don't even know him...This is his girl talking here...You got an issue, take it up with him to his face, don't post messages on here thinkin your trying to threaten someone, but no BALLS to put your name after your slandering remarks...Whats wrong, afraid someone might find out who you are and realize that your a wreckless driver yourself, or better yet someone who is too afraid to even get behind the wheel of a race car? Which is it??? It is easy for someone like you and others on here to hide behind a guest name and sit back and trash the track and other drivers, when you yourself isn't perfect now is it........Grow up, Buc and these other guys at this track bust their asses to give you and others a place to race, think about if they closed where would you go??? Who would you have to complain about then??? Grow up...Think about the BIG picture here...Can't stand the heat git out the kitchen...stay home and watch chick flicks...It takes a lot for Kevin and others to get on here and take the time to defend themselves to people like you, when they know deep down...they don't have to...Granted people make mistakes and sometimes do dumb stuff while on the track, but when your adrenaline is pumping and you have a car that you KNOW will go to the front, what do you want to do with that? TAKE IT TO THE FRONT, and if you don't have just enough to keep it where you want it...MOVE!!!!! It only causes heartache for others around you.....I have loved ones who race as well does most of the other people on here, and I want to bring my kids up in this environment as well, but when there are people on here like yourself with nothing better to do then sit back and write things like that on here, when you truly have no idea what you are talking about....seriously...get a life, cuz apparently the one your working on now, just ain't cutting it anymore!!!! You are sad, really sad...all your doing is causing issues for another week where you are sending people out for revenge on the race track...exactly where it is NOT needed...And if you had have been the one to actually think you could have taken Kevin out, They would have taken you out, as well, but in an ambulance...Chew on that...WATCHIN U 75..

I sit in the stands every so often. Not affiliated to any particular race team, just a fan. I recall a mod lite race a couple weeks ago where the 75 intentionally took out the leader coming to the checkerd. Save your fingers the agony of typing an untrue statement as defense to my post. It was blatant. Drove into turn 3 harder that lap than any other. Which that is perfectly fine. What isn't fine, is that when you let off and realized that you didn't hit the leader, you hit the gas again, which put you into to him. Not bashing anybody or any team. 100% facts. Good luck to the track and every team affiliated with it.

mxfreak, maybe you were not there the night that the kid acted like a two year old on the track and the infield? everyone else at the track saw it that night, including the official who was disrespected on the infield and the guys in the flag stand who the boy walked over to and threw his arms in the air at. that is what this original post was all about. No I was not there. Racing moto x that week
