I would like to let everyone know I am not sure if the word has been spread this far yet or not but my father who was series director of the EOS, though I am not sure if he still is or just was a few years ago, Ralph J Jones passed away in his sleep last Sunday Feb. 22. 2009, he was a wonderful man and will be missed. I know that he raced with passion and always let us kids join in whenever we wanted. I was brought up in racing thanks to him and wouldn't want it any other way. My father left behind a loving wife, 7 kids and several children whom he adopted as his own, and 10 grandkids. There have been rumers that went around a while ago that he lost a son in Iraq however his son-in-law did not pass in Iraq and has made it home from his tour in one piece. We are all greiving his loss and as I know many of you on here were friends of his I wanted to pass on the word. May he always be remembered for the great man, husband, father, and grandfather he was. And I know he loved racing with ya'll so thank you for being a part in his life. Kristi Jones I have posted his obituary below for any who would like to view it. www.timesobserver.com/page/content.detail/id/513094.html?nav=5007&showlayout=0

I corresponded with his daughter today and learned that Ralph Jones had passed away Feb. 22, 2009 while sleeping. He was only 47 yrs old! Not sure what caused to him to pass?
My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
