As i decide what races i want to run and don't want to run, I also have to consider how the track officials tech. I think Charlie and DIS does a great job with the Crates. Georgetown did a terrible job, all Georgetown did was weight. Any of the suppers could have come out and won, as long as they made weight. The Ultimate problem comes down to the teams that cheat! If i know that there is going to be illegal cars i have to race against, than i want to know if the track is going to tech or just weight. I think that any track that will not put on a fair show and do a good job teching, should not get my money or my participation. I say to all legal teams out there, If the tracks wont do a thing about illegal teams, than lets stay home!!!!!!! The ultimate decision lays in the hands of the CHEATERS. You might take the checkered flag and the money but your not a winner!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please speak ur mind all legal teams and make these tracks do there job and make the cheaters stay home!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with most of what you say. It's not only crates but any of the lower classes at say Hagerstown, Winchester, Potomac or most other tracks the guys running up front are illegal. The rules are made and no one looks at anything. We ran at VMS for years and they are the only track that I know of that pulls cars down on a regular basis and knows what they are looking at. As far as crates in our area DIS is so far the only track that does anything. The problem as I see it for the other tracks is if they tear you down ( Thats if they want to ) you are screwed as far as running DIS again cause Charlie won't let you re-seal your motor. I applaud DIS for putting there seals on the motors and trying to keep things legal but I think they should work together to promote a level playing field. Going with Fastrak which now have there own seals which are much like DIS's would solve some of the problem but it doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon in our area. I say call Georgetown and Potomac and tell them your concerns. The more people who speak up about this bull maybe some one will listen. Maybe anyway

Real creative user name. ;D Hard to believe you came up with that just to post on this thread. Looks to me like Russell just posted his thoughts and I pointed out some facts. It is what it is. You can call it crying if you want but at least when we post something people know who we are. Not hiding behind an assanine user name like yourself

Let me also say that I don't think I'm not running up front cause everyone in front of me is cheating. There running there cause they are getting through the corners faster. That being said I don't think anyone who has been around these cars the last few years doesn't know what was going on at Georgetown in 07. ;)Nuff said.

I just noticed your PM. It's all good. We may be at Georgetown. Right now it's hard to justify a lot of racing when I'm having to lay guys off if you know what I mean. Hopefully the housing market gets well soon.

I would like to add my comment to the crate rules I,m not speaking bad about either tracks , just the fuel rules I have a problem with , it should be acceptable to run 93 octane pump gas , anything higher in octane that exceeds the spec fuel in the rules is understandable. The way the economy is this year its a hard pill to swallow to pay 7.50 a gallon esp. if you dont have a sponsor . I went to sunoco,s website unleaded 100 octane is going for 75.00 for 5 gallons , its just something to think about .

I understand your comment about pump gas, but that would just be opening up a whole other can of worms. It would be extremely hard to have any kind of fuel rules because of the inconsistencies. $75 for 5 gallons? are you sure about that? that's $15/ gallon

Pump Gas is a good thing. These motors are built to run on 93. Its not that hard to police either. I remember having samples pulled from my tank a few times at DIS. probably, what, 3 years ago before Charlie put in the track fuel. Why not 93 at the track? The track fuel is awful expensive to burn in a class that is supposed to be cost-conscious.

RE: On the 15 dollars a gallon thats what the sunoco website was advertising for 5 gallons maybe that was for them shipping it with hazmat costs I have no clue I was just writing what I saw on Sunoco,s website. as far as checking the consistencies , as I said before just as long as the octane level that they are testing doesnt exceed the 100 octane that is stated in the rules . I would be able to keep some of my costs down , and still be able to make all of the shows at D.I.S and events at georgetown , and patomac. If I,m running unleaded fuel and its below the 100 octane I dont believe I should be fined. If the tracks want the car counts Then please allow us racing on a budget to run pump gas.

If D.I.S., GEORGETOWN,or,PATOMAC speedways check my fuel [i,m sure they have then means right there at the track] and I,m above the 100 octane spec fuel I will accept the fine imposed and point loss , but if I,m under the spec fuel of 100 octane I dont believe that I should be penalized .

You can run pump gas at Potomac. Whatever that says in their rules it doesn't mean you can't run pump gas.
