Thank you to all who helped after the 95 crashed in the junior 1 rookie class. The driver is fine except for a few bruises. Our family appreciates the quick response of the track officials, emt's, and other track participants. Safety equipment may be cumbersome but does its job ( helmet strap didn't break but wasn't tight enough ). It's good to see that even though we are all competitors, when their is trouble everyone helps out. Thank you !

just a note for all the parents of smaller kids, please be sure that the helmet does indeed fit properly, kids need kid size helmets not adult small, they are lighter and are made for youngsters.not a blast on anyone just a note from someone that cares for the safety of your kids.dont spend $1000's of dollars to get fast and then buy a cheap illfitting helmet. when i was a motorcycle mechanic at a shop we would have people buy a bike and then ask for a cheap helmet and we allways told them"if you have a 10 dollar head wear a ten dollar helmet" that always seemed to get there attention and buy the best protection they could proper safety equipement is no good if not used properly. glad to hear the little racer is gonna be ok....a short piece of roll bar padding on the steering post would have been real handy for the young man... kd04
