WOULD THE BOARD , RACE DIRECTOR OR US13 CLUB PLEASE DO SOMETHING WITH OUR RACING SURFACE. WE HAVE HAD TO RACE ON A LOUSY SURFACE ALL SEASON. BETWEEN THE HOLES, SAND AND DUST IT IS NOT FAIR AS A PAYING RACER TO HAVE TO RIDE ON THIS. MY SON COMES HOME EVERY WEEK WITH MASSIVE BRUISES ON HIS BACK.

The surface will probaly be like that the rest of the year. Because it wasnt taken care of from the beginning of the year. The best the track was all year was the first state race. Nothing but junk since, alot of wasted money if you ask me. But i just got home from seaford and it was awesome. Cant wait till the state race there. Walt puts on a real nice and smooth show over there.

We are a new team starting out, and we have decided to race only at Seaford just for this reason. As a recent spectator at DIS, I must admit that the track condition deteriated after the heat races. Drivers were bouncing all over the place. This caused too many cautions, and made the racing boring. The turnout last night at Seaford was great, and the racing was neck and neck. Just what a paying fan wants to see!

suggestions anyone? the track needs someone with a subsoiler or a chisel plow to break up the plowpan to allow moisture to penetrate deeper so the loose/worked clay on top will bond with the unworked layer of extremely hard clay beneath it.simple problem with a simple solution with the right equipement that the club does not have, anybody wanna volunteer some equipement and time to help out? with the equipment the club has we can only work the clay down to about 3-4 inches, this layer of clay when moist is easily moved out of the way creating the holes at the apex in the turns,if we could break/loosen it up another 6-8 inches deeper than what we have been i dont think we would be seeing the holes at the apex in the turns. think about a patch on blacktop...if you dont get enough tar on the blacktop below the patch it comes up and creates a pot hole because it was not bonded to the layer below it... unfortunately the club does not have this equipement but would encourage someone who does to help out,it would probably only have to be done once or twice thru-out the year to really make a difference.....anyone? kd04

PEEWEE , TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, HOW DO WE FIX IT NOW. THE ONLY WAY THAT I SEE TO FIX IT IS TO TAKE OUR MONEY THAT BELONGS TO THE KARTS AND PUT IT BACK INTO THE RACING SURFACE.PAY CHARLIE CATHELL TO STRIP THE OLD SAND/CLAY OFF AND PAY CHARLIE TO RESURFACE OUR RACE TRACK, I THINK THE MAJORITY OF THE RACERS WILL AGREE WITH ME LETS SPEND LESS ON THE BANQUET AND MORE ON THE RACING SURFACE. EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO US IT ALL YEAR, VERSES 1 NIGHT. THE BANQUET IS OK HOWEVER, AFTER THAT NIGHT IS OVER IT IS SOON FORGOTTEN ABOUT.
ALSO ONCE THIS IS DONE, PLEASE DON'T ALLOW ANY MORE ICE MELT TO BE PLACED ON THE TRACK, I FEEL AS THOUGH THIS IS WHAT HAS CREATED MOST ALL OF OUR PROBLEMS TO START WITH.

Well Wee-Pee seems to be everytime somebody has a comment you have an attitude with what they say. So that is telling me you know that we are right in what we say. You think I'm the only one that feels that way you lost your mind like your President and track preparer positions. Your looking for suggestions 3 months to late. What you did at the last state race showed what type of person you really are. Leaving the board members and club members with nothing to work with, just left them hanging . Shows what type of man you are, which man is probably an overstatement. You have no respect for anybody but yourself. Sorry i feel that way but that is the bottom line truth.

if members of this club spent as much time helping out as they do bashing the volunteers that try to make it a nice place to race one can only imagine how far this club could go.
great idea jlm,if you start at turn 1,karter17 at turn 3,and mike wilson somewhere in the middle by next friday you could prolly have it broke up......lol see you sat in va

MIKE SAVAGE IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOU ALWAYS HAVE SOME WAY TO FIX EVERYTHING. MAYBE YOU NEED A TAMP & RAKE IN YOUR SPARE TIME..........
FYI.FOR THE CLUB TO FIND SOMEONE TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME AND EQUIPMENT GOOD LUCK. BETWEEN EQUIPMENT EXPENSE,LABOR & FUEL NO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF ANY SIZE CAN AFFORD TO DO IT FOR FREE....... ONCE AGAIN CHARLIE CATHELL IS BEST QUALIFIED FOR THE JOB.

jlm5, you may need Pedro to add some water to get it back together as Juan tamps it back tight and Mr. Wilson can tell them how to do it and maybe he can bring his buddy "Dennis the Menace" with him.

How does the truth have anything to do with my attitude. Your were right about the track and dont have one problem with you. All my posts i am sticking behind and really dont care who agrees or not. Listen to Jamie's last post and give it a try. He offered to help 2 weeks ago on here and as far as i know nobody went with it. The idea he has now sounds even better. Yes everybody i can agree with somebody even Jamie. And Karter 17 we have kids on our team who go home bruised up every week, or we are replacing cracked bodies or something else. I would like to see the track get better as well, but blaming nothing getting done on my attitude is wrong. Sorry you feel that way but the truth is on here. Give Jamie's idea a try it will probaly make a big difference. THANK YOU " MR. WILSON" THE MENACE SIGNING OUT.

i don't know much about dirt.. other than we race on it... but it seems if you took out a 20' x 20' area in turn 1 the track hasn't been that bad lately. If you open the phone book there are plenty of people who do work with dirt/clay/sand all day for a living. Why don't we take some money and look outside the "club" for a professional to come in and fix.... it's going on weeks now. I'm not blaming anyone. I think everyone just wants a smooth track. Delmar is a nice facility put some money back into it to keep it that way. Middleford was junk earlier this year and they are much better now... there is still time. Mike the Menace... we agree on more than you probably realize. -jamie

Look's like it's been a good week for all the tracks Delmar & Middleford. I was at the stock car races and the track was perfect.
