I am very interested in finding out how the membership feels about our organization. Please DO NOT JUST COMPLAIN! tell me what you like, don't like and how it can be corrected.
If you have a concern, tell me what it is and offer a viable recommendation/solution.
If you feel that the organization is doing a good job overall or in a specific area, please identify that area.
If you do not like what's happening (or not happening) please let me know the area and provide recommendations.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTACK INDIVIDUALS!
I will compile all the information and present it to the board at our next meeting.
Thanks,
Walt

Jam,
This is not the input I was soliciting, but if I were you, I would ask the race director and the flagman to find out the reason.

seems like a good question to me,not to be ignorant to you Walt at all, but it seems like the black is getting waved more than the green. How are supposed to ask them any questions when they dont know how to talk to people to begin with. Just a very good observation and my personal valuable opinion. Hopefully JAM somebody could answer this for you, and help us all understand it. Thanks for reading and have a good one.

JAM, Did you even ask the race director or the flagman why you were black flagged before you posted anything on the internet or assuming it was engine trouble? The black flag is only thrown when needed, hopefully someday it won't be needed.

Walt or Peewee, For the next state race at middleford is there any truth to the rumor that the races may start later than the normal state race due to the fact of them running the bigger cars the night before and having to get the track smooth before the next morning?
p.s. i just encourage the people making the calls to read and re-read the rule book to ensure the proper calls are being made. It's probably not a big deal now but at the end of the year when someone wins or loses a state championship perhaps because of a wrong call it might be a bigger deal and there will be nothing anyone can do to change the outcome....just a suggestion and i'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular.

I think almost everyone who was running an animal friday was having atleast a small issue with there engines stumbling a bit. Some worse than others do to the track surface playing havoc with the floats in these carburators. In no way was I trying to bait the caution. Mainly I was trying to get it back to the pits. It just happened to clear up as the caution was thrown.

The owner of DMP has told us that the track will be ready, they will work on it through the night. The gates will open the same time.

JAM,
Whenever you are confused or displeased about a call made by the race director and/or the flagman, you are entitled to an explanation. I would recommend that you fill out a protest form. This is a guarantee that the reason be explained to you. All participants are entitled to this right. Please do not think that just because you fill out the form the race director will change his/her mind or vice versa.

Just an opinion here but I think the flag men would do a better job if they actually paid closer attention to what happens on their side of the track. The flagman who was between turns 3 & 4 who could not keep his eyes off of my son all night didn't even notice an accident that happened right behind him in the junior 1 class. People had to yell at him to get his attention. Why is it that the only color flag he knew how to use Friday night was black? I sat through 30 minutes of the junior 1 rookie class heat race and another 30 for the feature watching caution after caution after caution. The majority of them being caused by one driver. What happened to the rule of you cause too many cautions your out, wow this was one time he didn't use black. That figures because this was one time that he SHOULD HAVE used it. My son was black flagged for rough riding. He did deserve the warning that was given to him however he did not deserve to get disqualified. When rounding turns 3&4 he was trying to pass the leader if anyone was paying attention they would have noticed that my son was chop blocked by the leader therefore causing my son to ride up on his back tire. Not one time did my son cause anyone to spin or get hurt. Come on, fair is fair. That one flagman inparticular was not partial. It seemed he had his "victims" picked out from the beginning of the night.

Is there ever going to be any "TECH" on the karts & motors on Friday nights?

EXCELLENT QUESTION....Things would get interesting and the races would be more excitimg to watch for the same ones are always winning week and after week. VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE.....If you are indeed faster than the kart ahead of you then you should be able to pass them cleanly and not drove over top of them. I don't know of any driver who would intentionally brake to have someone run over them. I think some teching should be enforced in all classes for a couple of weeks and lets see where these guys finish then.

Walt, I sent you a P.M. on Saturday concerning the Jr-1 rookie class. I've not heard back from you. Have you received it?
