The Peewee rules will be posted this week if Bonnie has the time to do it? The board of Directors have discussed this issue at great lengths along with the Jr1 Rookie and the Board can make "improvements/changes" to the rules if needed with the help of the club officer's for the safety of all those involved. We have insurance rules we must adhere to!
Sincerely, Kart Club President

I just wanted to let everybody know that the rules are still being finalized and will be posted as soon as possible. I know that the rookies will be track time only so they can get comfortable with the kart.

Just wanted to answer your question about the format. It will not be the same as last year. Both classes will have 2 sessions with a time limit. One will be after practice and the other after the heats. Driver's age is 5-7 yrs. of age. The tire size LF 450,LR 600,RR&RF 800. The maximum tire pressure is 5lbs. There will be a minimum lap time of 18 seconds. It is the parent's responsibility to achieve the minimum lap time requirement. The board may alter these rules as necessary at anytime to reach this speed.

The class was not started by WKA it was started around here and the age has always been 5 to 8 years old. Listen to the difference when you say the class name out loud "peewee" & "kid karts", see not even close, neither are the rules!

Peewee age was initially 5 - 7 year olds. Eight year olds went to Jr 1. There was no such thing as Peewee Advanced or Rookie Jr. 1. Some where along the way, either it was changed or not well monitored and 8 year olds where allowed in the Peewee class. Seven year olds who turn 8 after Dec. 20, 2006 may remain in Peewee or move up to Jr. 1. This is the rule for the 2007 season and hopefully will continue for many years to follow.
