this is just a question for whoever can answer and several others have asked me the same thing.....
what is the point of heat races at g-town if you have to draw for position for the feature also?
i haven't really understood that all year and just never thought to ask. i understand the drawing for position for heats because there's no points to go by, but heats are for qualifying so why do you have to draw again?

that one is pretty easily answered...there was three heats of 10 yesterday, which if u drew crapy say for instance 10th and could only make it to 4th because track conditions being one groove, but u had A fast car in ur heat, then top 4 gets a chance to draw again, but theres always some group of people who will be crying about luck of draw because they need some sort of excuse. CONGRADULATIONS DAVE HERTZ!! YOU DID WHAT YOU HAD TO DO KEPT IT SMOOTH ALL RACE..GREAT RUN

The reason we redraw for the feature is to try to make the race more exciting for the fans. Starting features heads up usually means that there is not much passing up front. Since we are not running for points this year, we don't have any way to handicap the feature. I have been on both sides of the fence on this subject. As a crew member, I preferred heads up for the feature. But now that I am on the promotion side, I have to think of the fans as well.
