To All US 13 Kart Club Members / Racers:
I apologize completely for the late racing we had this evening, not only that but I also apologize for the speakers not working properly around the speedway. Although I could not do anything to correct either of them, I was the race director and feel somewhat responsible for what happened. I was approached and was asked if we could run another round of practice (a 3rd round) due to lack of hearing on the opposite end of the speedway, so I made the decision to add another round because of the missed rounds. The speaker problem is hopefully going to be fixed this week by not only attempting to correct the speakers, but also adding a FM Radio Transmitter so spectators and racers alike can tune in on there personal radios. We also are in talks of moving the start times from 7:30 up to 7:00. If this happens I would like to have karts rolling on the track at 7, meaning Driver's meeting would take place around 6:50. We also had problems with transponders and these were things we could not have expected...We did not expect for as many people to race last night as they did. Despite having problems, we are happy and proud, to be the host of upwards of 100 entries as well as have over 400 people come through the front gate. Again, I apologize and I feel this is the only way I can announce and convey my apologies and it get to enough people that need to hear it. The track and our staff is a work-in-progress...please work with us as we are trying to make US 13 Kart Club what it used to be! Again, my hope is that each and everyone of us will be leaving the speedway by 11:00 p.m., every Friday!
Thank you for your patience and consideration in this matter,
Cody Belote
Club Race Director
