I was at G-town Friday night and I have some thoughts about it:
1. The chargers were entertaining to watch. Man were there a lot of them! I can understand though, why people get upset with Guy Mitchell.
2. Great Racing!! I thought all of the races were great. The Sprints were okay, but I'm not a huge fan of them anyway.
3. Track conditions were rough. I think they need to run the track more often to keep it in decent condition. There was a huge hole in turn 1. It's what caused Mark Bitner's flip.
4. They needed more push trucks for the Sprints. It took forever to get them out there.
5. Despite the numbers, Late Models put on a GREAT show. Thay are my favorite class and they never let me down. I can understand why some of the locals stay home because of points and stuff, but it's kind of ashame. They put on a great show there and it could be even better with more of them.
6. They lacked some organization. That's another reason why I think they should run the track a little more consistently. There were times when everything just stopped for twenty or thirty minutes and that can't happen.
7. Kinda happy to see someone other than Elliott win!
All in all though, I thought it was a great night.
