Seriously?? $20 bucks!!! In an economy like this. Wow!!!! What happened to racing being a family oriented sport? $100 dollars for a family of 5 if you have kids over 12, just to watch!!!!! Unbelievable. It should be $8, MAX!!!!! $20 Dollars is criminal!!

I am with you robertfisher. Bring on the fumes and the dust, it is Dirt Track Racing and I am ready. My dad always said he'd rather watch 1 nights racing at Georgetown than 10 nights racing at any other track. I agree!

A big dissappointment to learn that the Big Blocks have been replaced by the Bridgeport Modifieds for the April 2 show. Sure will make me now think twice about going and, I love Georgetown Speedway but, they need either Real Modifieds or Sprints to make it a complete show.

Just a hunch, but I'd be surprised and pleased if the super late model car count hits double figures. Probably kind of early in the season for any outsiders to take the trip up. and with Delmar having their test and tune, not too many cars are left. Disappointed a bit about the big blocks being scrapped too, but it is probably just as well. Expect it's the same scenerio with them. Irreguardless of what divisions run, I can't wait for April 2nd. Looking forward to getting dirt in my hair and having some of my attention diverted for a few hours from all the happenings in the world.

Well since Georgetown has left us BIG BLOCKS out...at the last minute.....we will do the same and NEVER support a track that seems to change their minds more than I do..... We got our car ready just for Georgetown to support them and now I guess we will park it till Camp Barnes....we can count on Charlie and the DSP to put on a real race!!!!!! see you at Camp Barnes in the "0j" ........till then its ASPHALT in Virginia for CJ Faison & the 39 crew.......................... yeah my plans have changed .i was excited hearing both classes, and now pulling the big blocks from the event really sucks.20 dollars for 1 premier class that you know who is going to win. most drivers will probably be at delmar for practice. i guess i wont miss dis test and tune.been going for 20 years and havent missed one yet.

I really just do not understand dropping the Big Blocks. I really appreciate the fact that Jay is trying to keep racing alive at the Historic Georgetown Speedway but I just think that he has set himself up for failure on the April 2nd date. First off going against Delmar's test and tune when traditionally the locals do not support Georgetown anyway. Then dropping the Big Blocks just a little over 2 weeks from the show. Now you have 1 so called premiere class and still paying $20.00 to get in. I just personally have never cared for the Late Models, sorry. I may still go to Georgetown because I love racing there but it won't be exciting. I won't go to test and tune because I never have. I am just a fan of Dirt Track racing. I still really appreciate Charlie having the Speedway in Delmar on a weekly basis and I also appreciate Jay trying to keep Georgetown alive and, I attend both every chance that I get.

While I don't agree with decision I can see the tracks side. Local BB didn't support the track that I can remember. Normally only a coupla locals unless I am wrong then someone will quickly correct me. lol That being said admission is too much for 1 premier class. The price for the pits is the same that you'd pay to see an World of Outlaw or Lucas Oil event. Naaa.

not sure, but a few people tell me the crank more horsepower than dis motors.so they make them run a little more weight.a little more horsepower and a little more weight distribution makes a better handling ,and faster car. i think it is an advantage for the bridgeport modifieds. and remember last year when s hitchens finished 2nd last year and passed tech coming off the track.the officials came band 20 minutes later and said he had an illegal chip. how can a car be legal coming off of the track .and 20 minutes later they say its illegal? and the last race last year ROSS ROBINSON asked jess james if it was legal to run a certain shock setup and she said thats fine. he finished i think second and was disqualified for an illegal shock setup. i was right there when ross asked jess why he was being dq after it was said to be legal and her reply was (thats just the way it is)and walked away from ross. so why should the locals support a track that is gong to give them the shaft every time?

Welp, I only planned on goin when the SLM was gonna be there. Said I wasn't gonna go, now thinkin I will. Gotta think some DIS SLM will come and at least get some money back. Why would DIS SLM run test and tune? They ran DIS before they know what they run. Come getcha some!

I bet Jay's rent on the track is the same whether he runs Big Blocks or Hobby Stocks or a demolition derby. I'm sure that is why the admission is what it is.

The difference in the local Crate Modifieds and the Bridgeport Modifieds is 50 horsepower! Charlie runs the GM 602 engine which is rated at 350 hp and the Bridgeport Modified Crate 2 runs a GM 604 engine which is rated at 400 hp. The Bridgeport Mod can also run a Ford motor that can use a few aftermarket parts as well.
