i thought they would have run late models. i keep forgetting the same people that run georgetown run bridgeport. oh yeah bridgeport does not run latemodels.except on tuesday night show when people have to work the next day.and promoters cant figure out why they keep losing fans. here is a hint. a lot of fans like late models. more latemodels = more fans= more dollars.

I must admit that the Late Models do draw a lot of the younger fans but, to us die hard old timers: Big Blocks is where it's at baby! I can't wait !!!

you already know .billy pauch show.jamie mills cant run there. and i believe matt jester is still looking for a ride.not sure if hj will show.and finishline4 i heard this will be the last race for the james family at georgetown.i heard they will not renew the lease next year.the people who own the track will not negotiate a price. i respect what they have done for sussex county racing.but why would any buisness owner keep paying out good money to lease the place with no chance of buying it. it will just rot away like before. it is ashame that a great place will just dissapear like so many others have done in the past. georgetown speedway is a peice of AMERICAN HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would just like to see another place to race in sussex county. And personally, when there are decent numbers, i think georgetown can top DIS any day. Also, if you have two tracks running, it makes a little competition and will couse both facilities to perform better. Right now, charlie can do pretty much whatever he wants because the drivers don't have anywhere to go unless they want to drive three hours.

finishline4, Charlie pretty much did what he wanted when Georgetown was running on a regular basis. I guess really Charlie's dad did it that way and Charlie just followed suite. I have always Thought that Georgetown was a better racetrack than DIS and I too wish that it could still be a full time facility but, right now I am just glad to have 1 full time dirt track on the shore to attend every week.

Just want to say thanks to the Jay and fam for having any races at all. We enjoy racing there. The track was in great shape. Can only hope you have more events in 2011.

I agree also with 1969 racing, i am glad we have at least one racing facility nearby. i just would like to see gtown to be successful, that's all. i've always liked the place and i don't want it to go to ruin.
