Thanks for winning you 16th race since G-town has reopened. Rather see someone else win but givin ya props. K Pettyjohn 2nd then I thinks Hills. Pauch wins BB. After they cut the turns before the SLM heats the track was pretty good. Crowd was so-so. Thx again to the James family for providing us with another track to attend. Rather come here than DIS any day.

The James family has provided us with another great evening of racing at the Historic Georgetown Speedway, Thank You ! I know that the usual suspects who have nothing better to do will bi!(h about the track . At least Jay recognized the problem and did something about it quickly. Matt Jester was impressive in the 30, if Pauch had messed up just a little bit Jester was there waiting. I just am really tired of the 88 winning in the Super Late Models. He shows up with an attitude like he is supposed to win when he comes here and he does. Just my thoughts.

Yep. G-town is Ricky's playground. Don't care for it at all, not a fan.

The track was worked several times. And your name crazyness fits you to a T. Very good racing and exciting racing in Mods and Lates. 1w and 30 put on a great show. 88 and 21 done a great and exciting race and if 21 had not blown a motor it could have been a great run would have had you on the edge of your seats. People like you are insane and forget you are dirt racing and if you don't like it don't go. I will not miss you and neither will Georgetown. James family did a great job at the track last night and trued very hard to keep control of the dust and track in racin condition, what more do you want?

Well I can tell ya I am not a fan. That said I can tell ya Ricky is one hell of a driver and competitor but I could have seen someone else win. I thought it was a good race. Ricky winning it didn't make it any less of a race. I talk to Ricky when I see him. Congratulated him and shook his hand after he won the WOO race. If Ricky wins and its a good race thats fine. If he doesn't win and its a good race thats fine too. If it makes ya feel any better I feel the same way about Pauch in the BB. Like to see a different winner.

The facility is there, the payoff is there, the cars are there, just need someone who knows how to prep a racetrack and start earlier than the day before the race. Im afraid after this race alot of people who gave it a chance and came to race will never return due to the track conditions. There was no race to it, it was just whoever's car could go through the holes and survive. It breaks my heart to see this happening at Georgetown. Not Bashing, just want it to be successful and a good track to come race and watch a race.......

Very well said Lumberjack, so, where do they go from here? A promoter that runs only a handfull of races a year is not going to spend the money to resurface the track, especially since they don't own it. So, at best, we get a few loads of local clay, which is full of sand and not worth the effort to put it down and race a few more times next year. With that said, as long as they open the gates, racers will come, no matter what the surface.............because racers are racers and they want to race and it is still........"The Big 1/2 mile"!

djr you are right. If lumberjack wants a better surface then why don't you donate the PROPER SURFACE YOU THINK THEY NEED. And there was racin 1W-30 put on a great show. The 88 started 7th and 21 put on a great show could have been anybody race before 21 blew a motor and then you had Kenny come in the picture and that became a good battle. I do not know where you were at must have been in the bathroom hiding from dust

For the conditions and the limited schedule, the only answer I can think of is to ask a man named James Messick to prep the track. He did before and I felt the track was much better. The track might blow off a little, but it was racey from top to bottom & biggest badest engine didn't always win. Just my opinion but we would rather wear out tires than suspension or frame pieces. Not saying the winners didn't earn their wins, All cars had the same track, some just faster than others. But would rather see a smooth track.

I don't care who preps the track, you can't make chicken soup outta chicken s---! And you can't fix a track that has little or no surface there, the track comes apart in the same areas at every race, in the turns. I'm quite sure that any track prep. person will tell you the same, if they don't, you better find a new one. You gotta have something to work with, before you go to work!!

i went ,the track was rough, but all in all it was a good race.the only thing i dont under stand was they disqualified scott hitchens in the 15 car in the crate class and said his chip was not legal, the same chip that he has ran at delmar all year and said to be legal at dis. i thought that they run dis rules at georgetown. scott ran a good race and finished 2nd place and then got the shaft. i was just wondering if it was because he was the only local boy in the top 5? just ashame to spend that kind of money to get in and compete.then get shafted out of 800 dollars.

What made it even worse was we had went through tech and they said we were good. then 15 minutes later they tell us to come back. so if we were cheating we would have changed the chip if we knew it was no good so yeah your right we got the shaft.

hey sh15 .the same thing happened to norman short a few years ago at georgetown,he finished i think 5th place .nothing was said that night.then later on they seen on the computer that he was dq for an illegal tire, now i would think that if u were illegal they would tell you right there and point out why you were being dq. i guess some things never change.

Get some wood mulch and put it in with the clay. It will hold the water in the track and hold it together better.
