This is a letter to let everyone know that at the present time my wife and I are upset. I want to apologize to Susan for her having to go through this. Our track evolved from something small and family oriented into what it is today. We didn't plan it out, it just sort of happened. Long story short, we are just trying to have a good time, provide a good time and watch kids have fun and grow in the process. You see, not all cometo the speedway to race. Some come for the atmosphere and some come just to let their kids run and play. That's fine with us. Families choose to come here, we do not force them. All we ask is that they respect us, our property, and the people who help us.
By no means, do we consider ourselves professionals at this. However, we tried to build a professional looking track so the kids could get that big time feeling when racing. Complete with lights, flagmen, radios, and victory lane. Then came the calls for trophies. The kids need trophies, so we work hard each week to find a sponsor to get them trophies each race. Then we needed a website so they could see their photos and bios. We were fortunate to find an awesome lady who built us an awesome site for them. We try hard to do things right for everyone involved. However, we are not perfect and we know this.
Our intentions here are to never hurt any kids but to help them grow and watch them have fun. We have watched many start out for the first time and progress into good little racers and pick up a win or two. Others have raced here for years and never won. They keep trying though and when the race is over they come thank us and go on to play with others. We have always stressed this here. Good sportsmanship will make a better person than just winning races ever will.
You know in racing, if you win 5 out of 20 races that means you lost 15 out of 20. Does this mean you are a loser? By no means, especially if your family is together, your kids are having fun,you show good sportsmanship, and your kids are maturing throughout the year. Heck, you don't ever have to win a race to be a winner in life. We feel at this stage this is what it's about.
We are extremely digusted at the fact that racerzgurl and jk chose to use this forum to post false, defamatory, inaccurate, vulgar, hateful and harassing remarks about me for all to see.
In closing we would like to thank the flagmen, registration and results ladies, track prep crew and everyone who has provided trophies and/or prizes, for everything they have done for the racers at Club Milton Speedway.
