Thought it would be fun to see who everyone thinks could pull off the wins in modified and late models other than the few dominating cars in both classes. The late models I will go with staci, she has been doing a great job in the races where the the track gets hard and if she gets a good draw she is always tuff, the mods I say Jester, just think he is due.

I would have to go with Brad Trice in the Mods, and I agree with Staci Warrington for the SLM's. I think It'll be interesting to see who shows up from surrounding areas.

Had I seen this thread sooner I would have picked Ricky Elliott abd HJ Bunting. The racing was pretty competetive for the most part but it did get dirty! Anybody stay for the Destroyers? I am sure glad that they kept them for last!

The #1 car started about mid-pack at the start of the race and really hauled the mail to get to the front pretty quickly. It was evident that he was the class of the field. That car flipped in a violent fashion in the exit of turn two late in the caution-filled feature. I did not see it until he was already in mid-flip.
During his Victory Lane interview, the 22W owned responsibility for the crash and stated that he hit a rut in the track causing him to make contact.
I spoke to a fellow that was in the pits last evening and said that there was quite an "exchange of pleasantries" between the two parties in the pit afterwords. That is all I know.
I do wish that Charlie had run the Camp Barnes Shootout (Late Models and Mods) before this feature as that was the only reason that I was there that long.
I can understand the back gate money that Charlie gets from running a seven division show, but I wish he would have run that race before running the Crate Mods and Mod Lites as it was evident that most of the crowd was staying for that. Most of us had to be at work early the next morning and not finishing the Shootout (a relatively quick feature) until after midnight made for lost productivity in many workplaces today.
Overall, it was a great show and I applaud Charlie on ensuring a good surface and a great midway on the dragstrip. We are lucky to have such a great home track.

This is my opinion! those cars (mod lites) shouldn't run there the track is too big for those cars and obviously how many times does a car have to flip before someone see's it. Does someone have to get severely hurt or killed before someone realizes it's not always about the money. Middleford is perfect for those guy's and probably alot safer track, I know there is alot of b.s there but it seems to me that it could all work for both party's......

The 22w couldn't do anything but take responsibility for that wreck, what else is he gonna say? He tried to block the 1 car and hadn't cleared yet. Pretty sure it had nothing to do with a "rut". Unless he hits a rut every week cause he sure seems to be the one taking somebody out week after week. Sad part is that he had the lead the other night so he didnt have to do what he did. But then again he has eliminated one of his biggest competitors. Now the question is who will he eliminate next? This is where we should run a poll. I say next on his list will be the #3 or #5. As far as the original point of this post thread I found it to late but I would have gone with Warrington in LM and Trice in BB, I love watching these underdogs with all heart take a win from the "regulars"! I would have picked Amanda Whaley had she been in the race. She is gonna see that victory lane before long!
