ecaw, that is a good question? As a spectator I will be going to G'town. It would seem to me that the competitors would would get a better tune up by actually racing but, that is just my opinion. With that said, it seems that since about the mid 1980's the local racers have been less supportive of G'town. In the late 60's and throughout the 1970's all of the local competitors competed at both tracks. Definitely since G'town resumed racing in 2006 the locals have not been supportive, in my opinion. I wish the 2 tracks would work together but many have been saying through the years that the Delmar ownership just will not work with anyone else. I don't know and have no inside info but this is what I have heard many times. I know that I am ready for some local dirt track racing !!!!

It's just too expensive to race twice in one week

jj60, I assume that you are a racer and I respect the fact that it may indeed be just too expensive to race 2 nites per week. I just know that all of the local racers raced at both tracks in past years, mainly in the 60's and 70's, for a while they raced at 3 tracks when Little Lincoln was in operation. Times change!!!

set ups are pretty close from g-town and delmar.(for crate cars)maybe 1 or 2 adjustments so i personally would rather race for money to get a jump on part money for the year

In an article dated today, March 25, 2010 Redbud reported that racing on Delmarva opens on April 10, 2010 16 days from now. I thought that the racing season on Delmarva opened in 9 days on April 3, 2010 at Georgetown Speedway. Has Georgetown's date been changed or cancelled and not reported ?

Thank you andyt79, I knew that this is what was originally scheduled but when the article from Redbud came out it never mentioned the opener at Georgetown, only Delmar. I just did not know if there had been a change. Cannot wait !!!!
