any word from delmar.
anyone one know were to get a roll bar installed at a reasonable price, and a quality job.
I want a charger.
how much longer will they race this years at DMP.
With the longer track at delmar , safty will need to be up graded because you will hit harder, plus the track with a higher speed will be harder on the susp.
but you don't know til you try.
dmp is a bit small, and delmar a bit big, but it all we got close to home.

Still waiting to hear back from Charlie about racing the Chargers at Delmar. I don't think it is going to happen. But at least we tried. I will post it as soon as I get the word.

Racefan 100. There is a place that makes custom roll cages for any car. Thats what the 61 car of ashley merritt has in it. All you have to do is call the place and tell them what kind of car you have and they will ship you a complete set of pre-bent tubing. All you have to do is find someone to weld it together. If your interested i can get that number for you. I dont have it on me right now

thanks , I know there are several company that sell the pre bent tubing. I would really need someone to weld it up for me , has I don't trust my own welding when it comes to something like a cage.

it happened so fast , I was in the 13 car, the 18 pushed up the track in front of me and seemed to hop up just has I popped him in the rear, next thing I know Iam looking at the bottom of the 18, not sure who but I think some one was on my rear to.
glad no one was hurt, and the roll cage did it's job.
one thing I see that every one should have is a window net, I will be adding one to my car for sure.
see you tomarrow night.

I lost my bumper under caution and my hoods all mangled too. Ah well its only body damage. Glad to here # 18 is okay.

I think before you think about going to delmar (in the future) you need to get a group together to enforce rules. You will be going faster and possibly tearing up more harder wrecks (because of the higher speeds) . But maybe try to get a group together to enforce the rules a bit about the cars being safe and drivers equipment etc. Reason I say that the other week one guy flipped and his helmet came off.....seriously because he through it over the fence beside us.....and not only on top of that but whoever hit him after he was upside down kept on pushing him . I mean come on are you not paying attention enough to know that you are pushing a car that is flipped over . Then another car is driving around and his bumper falls off. Run wherever you want more power to you but maybe get more strict on the rules. And also doesnt DIS kinda have there own version of the charger cars with the slide for 5 ??

Who is talking about Delmar? The champ show for Middleford is this weekend & also Delmar. Napa Chargers are not running Delmar. I think Goldcar was asking about Middleford, not delmar.

Yea i was reffering to middleford about the champ race. But i do agree with you about the rules brentyjames. Some rules arent enforced and some are only enforced sometimes. That can make things unfair. But the track officials are getting better at it. It doesnt happen as much as it used to. But the helmet flying off... that isnt the tracks fault there. Thats the drivers responsibilty to make sure his own helmet is safely on. And with the bumpers... drivers have lost a lot of them these past 3 years. The thing is that they are only plastic and foam. They arent made of much so they are gonna hold up anyway. But in the rules i believe it says stock bodies only. Your not allowed to reinforce. So its kinda a lose lose situation there. But i have seen a good idea on the 61 car of Merritt. Its not reinforcing and the body is still stock. All they have is a custom cut piece of sheet metal riveted from the plastis to the fenders. Its easy fast and it works. Her bumper has never fallen off and she has had some hard hits.

I read middle fords rules in the charger class, and i was just wondering what the big deal is bout a Tiburon?? Is it because waters out ran a junk 12v 4 door chevy cavalier(track favorite 77). with a automatic. When the Tiburon came out for the first time Joe and his bro ran 1st and 2nd in the heat, and would've in the feature but one of them got spun in turn 3 and sat their for to laps. Plus there was like 5 cars at the time. Bring it back that way i race against real Mini Stocks not chargers

Joe Waters! I didnt ever expect that out of you man. I cant believe your so scared of that x-factor that you would leave and run off to race in another state! I thought your were more of a man than that. Even the girl pushed back when he came after her. Come on now! Haha! Im just messin with ya man. If you are racing there full time then we just might have to come a few weekends and visit you guys. We'll show them how we do things in Sussex County. Have a good year and good luck with your car. See ya man.

And to comment on the posts by randy grey and lawn chair warrior... This class IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT than slide for 5. Thats what me and my cousin started out in. And i do agree that when this class started, they were mostly junk yard cars. But the class and the cars and the drivers have come a long way the past 3 years. We arent racing in beaters anymore. These are nothing short of a true stock car. With a few execptions that is. But with all the time and effort put in to each car they are far from what you get when you pull em out of the junk yard. My yellow 60 was practically totalled when we got it. Along with the 61 as well. But looking at them now you can easily see how much work and time and expierementing has went into building a good reliable car.
