August 25, 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! DAVEY SAMMONS TO DRIVE FAMILIAR No. 79 BORDENTOWN, NJ- As many fans witnessed on Saturday night at Delaware International Speedway, Davey Sammons is back in the familiar blue and orange No. 79. Sammons and car owners, Pat and Kathy Palladino, split ways on Saturday morning. The Bordentown, NJ driver thanks the Palladino¢s for the opportunity to have driven the prestigious No. 99 in United Racing Company competition. It has been an honor and a great learning experience. Sammons would also like to take the time to thank all the sponsors involved with Palladino Motorsports for making it possible. For the remainder of the season, Sammons will continue to follow the URC tour driving his family owned No. 79. His goal remains the same - he wants to win races. With the help of some great friends and family, Sammons was able to make it to the races on Saturday night with his own No. 79 just in time for warm-ups. Thanks to a borrowed truck and trailer, and a crew put together during the afternoon, he was able to qualify for the feature after running the B-Main at Delaware International, he started 23rd on the A-Main field and drove to an 11th place finish. Next up for Sammons and URC is New Egypt Speedway this Saturday night. Fans are encouraged to stop by the t-shirt table in the main grandstand area to pick up 2008 clearance merchandise.
